Himalayas Expansion for Tyto Ecology Launches!

Himalayas Expansion for Tyto Ecology Launches!

We are beyond excited to announce that our first expansion pack for Tyto Ecology is now available on Steam for Mac and PC! The environment that is featured in the expansion is based on the Himalayas mountain range in South Asia. We were inspired to add the Himalayas as the next biodome because of the courageous fight against illegal animal trade in the region. Many animals in the mountains, big and small, are harmed every year, and we want to help raise awareness. As such, we’ve decided to donate $1 for each expansion sold to the World Wildlife Fund in honor of the UN’s World Environment Day!

The Himalayan DLC will feature almost 30 new plants and animals, such as the red panda, Asian elephant, Bengal tiger, and bamboo tree! With these new species, the total amount of plants and animals in Tyto Ecology is just about 100. Other additions to the game include a biodome with snowy, mountainous terrain, and all of the features we recently added in the 1.6 update. A list of all of the new animals, as well as more information about the expansion can be found on our website!

The Himalayas expansion is available from the shop on our website, as well as on Steam, for $3.99. The Tyto Ecology base game is required in order to play the expansion, and it is available for $6.99 on the same platforms. We are also including a bundle that includes the base game and the expansion for a discount at $9.99. For every sale of the Himalayas (expansion or bundle), we will be donating $1 to the World Wildlife Fund for UN’s World Environment Day.

We’re also announcing a Refer-a-Friend program for fans of Tyto Ecology. If you recommend three friends to buy the game or Himalayas bundle, you get a Save the Himalayas t-shirt for free!

Thank you all for the support! We wouldn’t be able to create this expansion if it wasn’t for our fans. Stay awesome!
